She made the class environment welcoming and un-intimidating and taught us to use and feel comfortable with the equipment. This is a great way to have a challenging, low-impact workout. “I recently had my first experience with Pilates. I attended Reformer Fundamentals. Upon entry I was greeted by my teacher, Julie, who showed me where to set up. While others were arriving, she spent time reviewing how to use the equipment and change the weights. The equipment was clean and there is ample space between participants. Throughout the class Julie gave specific instructions and corrected each of us regarding body position and use of equipment as needed. Part of the "equipment" we each had was a spray bottle with a mild disinfectant. After class we were each given a cloth and were asked to wipe down the equipment we used. I like that the class is small (max 6 people.) I felt that I had a thorough workout, but at a pace I could follow. The following day I was a little sore:-) Julie was an effective teacher. I highly recommend this studio.”
