Julie Thayer
After researching many methods of exercise, Julie found Pilates in 2006. She studied at Chakra Pilates in San Diego where she completed a year-long teacher training program earning her Pilates certification. She has been mentored by a vast range of instructors and has gained a comprehensive and thorough education ranging from classical to contemporary Pilates.
Julie is experienced in teaching many Pilates apparatuses including the Reformer, Chair, Cadillac, Jump-board, Ladder Barrel, Springboard, mat and classical Pilates, as well as routines for cardio circuits and prenatal and postpartum Pilates. Julie’s education is rooted within the disciplines and methodologies of Lolita San Miguel, Romana Kryzanowska, BASI, Physical Mind Institute, Peak Pilates and more. She has been teaching Pilates since 2013 and continues to expand her education through workshops led by master instructors including Lolita San Miguel, who was taught and certified by Joseph Pilates himself.
Julie is always absorbing knowledge and learning from those around her. She is most intrigued by the mind-body connection and is determined to help every client find their own connections: a peaceful state-of-mind and a strong, healthy body.
